This is my in progress entry for the Comicon contest over at GameArtisans.Org. Here is the base mesh I will be using, and also a couple renders of the underlying sculpt at it's current state. I'm puttin' all my heart and soul into this one, so I hope everyone likes it! Thanks for the follows everyone, you know I'm here for ya!

ReplyDeleteAbout a weeks worth there so far. Thanks guys.
how many polygons 0.0
ReplyDeleteamazing facial features, i used to use maya myself. i made some shitty teapot that was all shiny and rendered, but nothing as detailed as a human face

ReplyDeleteThe hard poly limit on the low rez model is 12k. The Zbrush sculpt is somewhere around 13 mil right now... nothing really out of the ordinary.
@Anti-1337
Thanks much. The high res facial features you are seeing are all done in Zbrush though. Amazing program. Believe me, I started doing what you did too, takes a long time to get it all right.. still learning as we speak. I've been doing this for almost 7 years, and I'm still a green intermediate.
looks good
ReplyDeleteAmazing detail. Great job!

ReplyDeleteWow, that's really good.

ReplyDeleteWorking on it Slumph, it's quite a process though! :)
ReplyDeleteI never thought of it that way... interesting
ReplyDeletecan't wait to see more
ReplyDeleteYou are the first artist I have encountered on blogger, so that equals an automatic follow. Nice rendering man, is that Z-Brush? I never messed with it yet but want to. The shredder is looking good, you definitely have some skill and understanding to pull that level of sculpture.
